Just a quick post to say we are still here and are doing great! We have our new baby boy with us and are adjusting to being a family of six. Until I can post again, here is some silliness courtesy of Elijah. Thanks to Aunt Lisa for fun Valentine gifts, including this hilarious singing bear. I love E's comment at the end, as he stands on his head, too, as if it's the floor's fault for his hurting head!
Growing up, I often said "I wished I had a corner," meaning I wanted a little hideaway where I could get alone and just BE. It got to be kind of a joke in the family, but they understood what I meant - a spot just for me; to read, journal, garden, enjoy music, meditate on life, or pray. The "corner" I longed for wasn't even an actual place, but more, the opportunity to do those things I love. So, welcome and see what is going on in our family's corner!

Valentine's Fun
What a happy Valentine's Day it was! We have had a lot of minor sickness the past few weeks (croup, fever virus, sinus infections), so today was a nice afternoon to just enjoy being together as a family, feeling mostly normal. Well, as normal as we ever are....
Anyway, here are some things I'm thankful for; some are silly, and some are very sincere. I hope you are feeling tremendously loved today!
-- a healthy husband and three children
-- an afternoon to eat out with all of the above, and spend a little time/money at Target
-- daffodils and crocus blooming all over my yard
-- a fun night last week with precious (and very silly) friends at our Sweetheart Social :-)
-- Valentine mail
-- knowing true love from my husband, Father, and family
-- a playdate with friends on a sunny spring-like day
-- a good ENT who prescribed me meds. and insurance that allowed me to go
-- a visit from my Dad this week on his way from a day of work in Montgomery
-- our new French press - if you've never tried one, you don't know how good homemade coffee can be
