Photos of the Week

Isaac doesn't love reading and struggles with finding anything worth the effort. So, you can imagine my delight when I found him asleep with a book two nights in a row. Thank you, Star Wars! So, maybe it's not C.S. Lewis, but hey - I'll take what I can get. :-)

Abigail asked two years ago for a dog. We told her she'd need to wait till she was a little older and more mature. We told her last fall that when we found out the new baby was to be a girl, she could have a female dog by her birthday. Her birthday is next weekend, and we've been searching the rescue groups and shelters for one that she'd love. It's been a journey, and she has surprised us by her discernment, maturity, and desire to get the best dog for our family, not just the first cute one she saw. Here's her choice. She'll join our family next week.

I'm very thankful for these big kids and their growth and unique gifts. I'm so proud to be their mom.

I'm published!

My friend Lynne mentioned an opportunity for book reviewers a few months ago. I applied and was accepted, and my first review is up now on the website. Check it out! The Journal is a great resource for parents, teachers, and just folks who like to read and want to check into a book before buying it or spending time on it. Here is the link: http://www.christianlibraryj.org

For my review, go to Current Issue, then Children's Books, and How I Learned Geography. :-)

Welcome!

If you're new to our blog, thanks for stopping by! In the right column, you'll also notice our other blog's link, and on down the column, you can choose topics to read about, or follow our year's highlights in chronological order.
