A wonderful Mother's Day weekend

It was truly a memorable Mother's Day, with some special times spent with both of our moms and also because we were able to share the news that I'm going to be a mother again! Most of you've heard by now, but if you care to keep posted on the pregnancy, just check the newly created baby blog at http://ourcorner-greatexpectations.blogspot.com for updates periodically. This will still be the main family's blog though.

We spent Saturday afternoon at James' parents, visiting and loving on Pop and Granny. Before we left, we did share our happy news with them, while the kids were out of earshot, and they were ecstatic. From there we went to the botanical gardens for a picnic and brief stroll through the roses.

On Sunday after church we drove to Decatur to visit with Mom, Dad, and Jacob, during a tour of the gardens of homes in the old historic districts of town. There were so many beautiful ones, and we enjoyed them despite the warm weather. After the walking tour, we went back to Mom and Dad's, and gave her our gifts, and then the card that shared our other "gift." Though a little surprised, my smart Mom wasn't shocked that we had been hoping for another baby, and there were some tears of joy shed by several of us. Seeing the kids' faces as she read the card I'd signed, "Love, James, Jennifer, Isaac, Abigail and grandbaby #3!" was really great. Abi and Isaac are both excited and have said thousands of times since yesterday , "We're having a baby!!!"

Sweet gifts from James (and the kids), and also my thoughtful brother, meant so much. I am so fortunate to have such loving guys in my life. They really know me, as evidenced by their gifts. I hope all you moms out there were as blessed!!

Sounds like you had a good weekend, girl!!
My mother's day came cpomplete with a surprise scavenger hunt that ended with a water balloon ambush! Guess that's what I get for having all boys...some get breakfast in bed. I get pelted with water balloons! But it was awesome!! We all had a blast.
I'm so happy for you about your little one.I remember my boys' excitement when we were expecting Wilson. It was such a sweet time! It did get old, however, after about the ten millionth time they asked, " How much longer til the baby comes?" Ha!! Whew!! It was a long nine months! ;)

WOOOO HOOO!! I am soooo excited about this news! Seriously, congrats!!!

Also...

Yes, I am so silly that it hurts sometimes. I did put my 2 or 3 times meeting you plus your *little* profile pic together to ultimately decide that you looked like the lady in the video. I mean, kindof you do, but alas, you are much lovelier than she.

When's the baby due? What will the age differences be?

I'm THRILLED for you!!

I cried at the picture of the pregnancy test. I can't even imagine the sense of worship that must have flooded over you. I am in awe of a wonderful and sneaky God!
