Sweet friend, from the northern U.S.,
The state of those liberal Kennedys,
How would we have guessed that
Our kindred spirits would bond
Through many common loves,
And hurts, and experiences
At this point in our lives?
It's such a blessing to have someone who also
Loves the music of Rich like I do
Keeps a journal of powerful quotes from movies
And earnestly cares and prays for Orlando Bloom
With the same sisterly devotion?
Your passion for spreading the Gospel
For your precious family
And for NASCAR
All inspire me
And make you a unique, amazing person.
Being mistaken for you many times
Over these past few years at church
Is such an honor and compliment.
I should've cut my hair a long time ago.
You are known by all
As someone who speaks carefully, and wisely
And can consistently be counted on
For your thoughtful actions,
Whole-hearted prayers,
And selfless giving.
Only you may understand, but
This is not an ice cream cone
And you are not a substitute person.
What a treasure you are in my life!
Growing up, I often said "I wished I had a corner," meaning I wanted a little hideaway where I could get alone and just BE. It got to be kind of a joke in the family, but they understood what I meant - a spot just for me; to read, journal, garden, enjoy music, meditate on life, or pray. The "corner" I longed for wasn't even an actual place, but more, the opportunity to do those things I love. So, welcome and see what is going on in our family's corner!
