Surgery update for Isaac

Thanks to those of you who have prayed for Isaac's latest club foot surgery. It's been a busy few days, but we're doing pretty well at home, and recovering. He is such a trooper. Despite the pain he should feel from having a wedge of bone removed from his tibia, and pins inserted, and a staple in his big toe, he sure acts like he feels o.k.! He's hardly taken any pain medicine here at home, and we're having to nearly force Motrin in him. Here are photos of him pre-operation Thursday, and afterwards, as we stayed at Children's till Friday evening. We had wonderful nurses, and great visits from friends and family, which made the two days more bearable. Elijah was also a great comfort for his big brother, as you'll see from the pictures.

We're glad to be home, and are adjusting to caring for him, and trying to keep him from hopping on one foot too much. We'll go back next month for a cast change, so please keep us in your prayers for that next step (ha ha, 'step' - get it?). Here's a video of the last time (hopefully) Isaac walked on his tiptoes. James was smart enough to think of that as we entered the hospital. I'll kinda miss that walk, but am sure glad it won't ever slow him down again. We're so grateful to have incredible doctors and a wonderful hospital so close by. God is good.
