Far Away Friends

Here are our kids with Jackson, older son of my precious friends, Scott and Robin, who live too far away in Maryland!! Scott and Jackson showed up unexpectedly last Friday, and totally surprised us. So much so, that when i went to the back door to see who had knocked, I looked through the window, yelled "Oh - my- gosh!!", and ran back through the house! :-) Yes, I WAS happy to see them, just not quite presentable - I had on my pj's and my hair was soaking wet from the bath I had just gotten out of. Scott got a good laugh out of that. Anyway, we had a quick one hour visit with them, and it was so neat to see the kids playing like they are together all the time. We haven't seen them in over 2 years, and it was bittersweet to be given such a rare opportunity to spend that time together. It just made us miss them more, but we are thankful for what time we did have! We love ya'll!! Happy Birthday Scott!
