Well, as if the 5 days in Disney World wasn't enough fun for a while, we returned home to my approaching birthday. It was a great week, not only just because we were home and happy to be, but because many friends went out of their way to make me feel loved. I'm so blessed! Lunches and dinners with friends and family included good food and great fellowship, and sweet cards, emails and phone calls were very touching. I tell you what, I have so many dear people in my life, and am honored that many of you took time to treat me during my birthday week. In case you haven't seen enough photos from me lately, here are some more, of sweet visible tokens of birthday celebration! I can't capture the happiness it all brought me, but believe me, am so very thankful for you all!! And, I'm so far behind on celebrating my precious husband's birthday (which is just 2 weeks before mine), at least through this blog, so will at least include pictures from his b'day and mine at the same time and at some point, eventually add the tribute I want to do, to honor him!!
Sweet reminders of how much I'm loved: packages from GA and VA waiting on me when we came home from FL....roses and goodies from James...precious heartfelt note and zucchini bread from Amy...phone calls, cards, and emails from Mom, Dad, Jacob, Robin, Cindy, Pastor Lynn, Christina, Noel, Jenn, Sandi, Jamie, Mamaw, Grandpa, Granny, and on and on....lunch with Jamie...dinner with Autumn...pumpkin patch and dinner with my parents....a visit and Dunkin Donuts coffee and roses from Rebecca...
Growing up, I often said "I wished I had a corner," meaning I wanted a little hideaway where I could get alone and just BE. It got to be kind of a joke in the family, but they understood what I meant - a spot just for me; to read, journal, garden, enjoy music, meditate on life, or pray. The "corner" I longed for wasn't even an actual place, but more, the opportunity to do those things I love. So, welcome and see what is going on in our family's corner!

I actually am knitting you a scarf too. It was supposed to be done shortly after your birthday, but, well, *ahem* I'm still working on it. Oh well. Happy birthday anyway! I'm glad you were born!!!!
Well, I am not knitting, but I'd love to join you, Amy:) My favorite part of Fall, Jennifer, is that it reminds me of YOU. Hues of Fall, pumpkins, leaves, Fall yard work, & beautiful seasonal ribbon are reminders of your love for this season. Thanks for helping me Fall in love with Fall:)!
Love all the sweet pics-just awesome!
Knitting sounds so cozy! Can we all sit and knot like little old ladies. I love this idea! I do believe I need to take a class:).
um, I meant "knit", not "knot":)
I love your birthday month too! Such a special time of year for many reasons and you are one of the big ones! I love the fall flower pics too. Beautiful!!! BTW, I'm still celebrating your bday because I still haven't given you your card that has been sitting on my kitchen counter! It reminds me of you daily! Soon, dear friend, very soon!
I love the picture at Aldridge Gardens and Will is excited for James with the lifeflight. Happy Belated Birthday!
