First Day!! That Monday morning, James and I awoke Isaac and Abigail at 4:30, to dress and get ready to head to the airport, since we had a 7 a.m. flight and obviously had to be there earlier than that. They were sleepyheads at first, but quickly got up and moving, with great attitudes. It helped that our sweet Disney enthusiast friend, Autumn, had wrapped gifts for them to open each day of the trip. We happily resorted to bribery to give them an incentive to get ready quicker.
Here they are, peacefully sleeping, then opening gifts, then loving the window view out of our plane. Both learned to spell "D-e-l-t-a" by heart that day, they were so excited. :-) The flight was easy and both kids did great with the experience. Isaac has flown numerous times, but it was Abigail's first time in a big plane, so I was thankful they did so well. I have had issues with ear pain from the pressure in the past, but not this time. What a relief!
Growing up, I often said "I wished I had a corner," meaning I wanted a little hideaway where I could get alone and just BE. It got to be kind of a joke in the family, but they understood what I meant - a spot just for me; to read, journal, garden, enjoy music, meditate on life, or pray. The "corner" I longed for wasn't even an actual place, but more, the opportunity to do those things I love. So, welcome and see what is going on in our family's corner!
