Helicopter dedication

Wednesday was a big day for our family. As most of you know, James works as an RN at Children's Hospital. We are so grateful for such an incredible facility being nearby, and for the opportunity James has to work with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and also the Critical Care Transport Team. The new helicopter that Children's recently acquired was dedicated Wednesday, and it was such a special ceremony. We were able to meet some of the folks James works with there, and even ran into Karen and Cassidy, our sweet friends from church who are way too familiar with Children's due to Cassi's battle with cancer. She just turned 3 Monday, and has fought it her whole life basically. She posed for a picture with her mom though, despite not feeling well from her chemo. A very touching moment in the ceremony was when a mom whose daughter was transported by helicopter to Children's for treatment which saved her life was able to share their story.

The kids loved getting to sit in the helicopter, and James' sister Angel even came to celebrate with us and took some pictures. What an awesome time. We're so thankful God has blessed us all with this job James loves.
